
What is a Mobile Hotspot?
A mobile hotspot is a device that uses cellular data to connect your wireless enabled electronic device to the internet.

Who can borrow the hotspots?
Lending is open to Hackensack residents, 18 and older, with a valid Hackensack Library card with no fines or overdue materials. Residents with Courtesy Cards, Pay Cards, or cards newer than 6 months are not eligible to borrow the hotspots,

It's all yours for 4 weeks!Each hotspot can be borrowed for 4 weeks. Make sure you return the hotspot on time. Service on the device will be turned off if not returned by the due date. Fines will accrue for every day it is not returned on time.

All hotspots are checked out? There's a wait-list!If there are no hotspots available, ask to be placed on the wait-list. When one becomes available, you will be contacted to pick up a hotspot.
Other important details:
Sprint is the service provider for the hotspots. You can check their coverage map here to make sure you will have service with the mobile hotspots.
There is a $5 late fee for every day it is not returned on time. Service will be turned off if the hotspot kit is not returned by the due date. Fines will accrue until the device is returned. If the device is lost, stolen, or broken beyond repair, a $120 fine will be charged to your library account.
