Part-Time Security Guard
Responsibilities:
Patrols the grounds and other areas and facilities of the library.
Enforces the Behavior Rules and other policies for the library users.
Guards and protects the library against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal or unauthorized entry; does other related duties as required.
Not an armed position. Police are called for any person’s detention or forced expulsion.
Schedule:
Schedule is flexible, between 20 and 30 hours per week, evenings and Saturdays preferred.
Requirements:
Background check.
Ideal candidate should have had training in dealing effectively with aggressive behavior.
Salary and Benefits: $22 per hour, paid sick and vacation time.

Full-Time Bilingual Library Associate, Children’s Department
Responsibilities:
Shelving library materials.
Providing assistance to patrons at the front desk.
Assisting Children’s staff with programs.
Answering reference and reader’s advisory questions for children.
Developing and running a weekly Bilingual Story Time in English and Spanish.
Other duties as needed/assigned.
Qualifications:
Fluency in Spanish is required.
BCCLS experience is a plus.
Operation of standard computer software including Google Docs.
Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
Patience and enthusiasm for children are a must!
The position is 35 hours per week, from Tuesday – Saturday, including one night a week.
Salary minimum of $40,000. Generous benefits and vacation package included.
