Black Doll Exhibit

Want to experience local art and culture, but have a hard time making it to an exhibit? Every month or two Johnson Public Library features a different local artist or collection in our gallery space. The exhibits range from photography, artwork, and 3d media, including ceramics, decorative shoes, and historical objects..

In February the main gallery featured dolls from Hackensack resident, Michelle Rice’s black doll collection. Michelle has been collecting black dolls for over 20 years and has an extensive collection with a wide variety of dolls. This was her third year exhibiting at the library and the focus of many of her selections was personalities.
