​Part-Time Bilingual Page

The Johnson Public Library seeks a part-time bilingual page to work 10 hours per week.

The schedule would be as follows:

Monday:  5 – 7:30 pm

Tuesday: 5- 7:30 pm

Wednesday: 5 – 7:30 pm

Thursday:  5-7:30 pm

 

Education and experience:

Basic Internet skills.

Fluency in Spanish and English.

 

Responsibilities:

Provide assistance to the librarian at the Reference Desk by helping patrons with computer tasks including printing, file attachments, downloads and basic troubleshooting.

Translate for Spanish speaking patrons.

Pull and check out patron holds.

Keep Reference Desk printers and copiers supplied with paper.

Shelve reference books.

Cover 15 minute Periodicals Department break.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Interests:

Excellent customer service attitude and people skills required.

Fluency in Spanish and English.

Salary:

$10-13 per hour based on skills and experience.
